Belly Dance is an umbrella term describing some of the diverse dance forms of the Middle East, Egypt, North Africa, Turkey & Greece. It is one of the oldest dance forms in the world.

 It’s “Hip-notic” isolation of body movements together with  subtle strength of technique has led to many students of Belly dance feeling the physical benefits of Improved: 

  • posture.
  • core strength,
  • stamina
  •  and of stress reduction.

 It is also great FUN!

Suitable for all ages (14+) & fitness levels, it is a low impact, empowering and fun dance art and a great way of exercising, all this with the added bonus of meeting fellow fun students and teachers, plus wearing beautiful costumes and dancing to the wonderfully alluring music from the Middle East.

  • To raise the standard of belly dance within the UK by encouraging students to use safe and accurate technique.
  • To highlight the health benefits associated with this fun and low impact dance form, which can also result in being part of a fantastic social network and in feeling more self-empowered.
  • To remember the social aspect of the dance, that each class is an occasion in which to celebrate and meet with current friends whilst dancing with new friends
